Brownies: Sensational World of Bugs!
Sunday, April 23, 1:30-5:00 p.m.
Scouts will explore the amazingly diverse world of insects through hands-on activities, crafts, and outdoor exploration at the WV Botanic Garden. In addition, scouts will discover more about the five senses, learn how people and animals rely upon their senses every day, and become more aware of using their senses in nature. Scouts may earn two total badges, Brownies’ Bugs and Senses. Cost: $28.
Juniors: The Science and Secrets of Flowers and Gardens!
Sunday, April 23, 1:30-5:00 p.m.
Scouts will uncover a bit of science behind the structure, function, and importance of flowers and create a blossom-inspired craft. Scouts will also explore several designed gardens, learn a few basics of garden design, and plant their own container garden to cultivate at home. Scouts may earn two total badges, Juniors’ Flowers and Gardening. Cost: $40.
Cadettes: Treerific Trees!
Sunday, April 23, 1:30-5:00 p.m.
Scouts will learn the basics of tree identification, discover how trees conserve and beautify the landscape, and explore the connections between trees, people, and wildlife. Scouts will enjoy tree-themed activities and crafts, as well as an inspiring hike in the majestic forest at the WV Botanic Garden. Scouts may earn the Cadettes’ Tree badge. Cost: $28.
