This summer on Sunday, August 28th, we will again host a garden party fundraiser, Hammock Haven, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Botanic Garden. At this year’s event, we will be unveiling our new hammock gardens with sculpture work by artist Mike Loop. Chefs Marion Ohlinger of Hill & Hollow and Mark Tasker of Table 9 will be creating the menu for a low country boil. We hope you will join us for the delectable food, libations, and footstomping Appalachian country sounds of Sawbriar. We are so excited that this year we will also be able to showcase our new Welcome Center at the event! The proceeds of the fundraiser will help to support the continuing development of the Garden. Visit www.wvbg.org by August 21st to purchase tickets to the event ($45 per adult; $15 per child ages three to ten).
You can also be a part of this as an event sponsor! All contributions are greatly appreciated and will be acknowledged in the event program. Sponsors contributing $250 or above will receive recognition in the event publicity commensurate with the size of the gift and complimentary tickets. Donors at the $1,000 level or above will also be recognized on the hammock installation for its entire life at the garden and donors at the $2,500 and $5,000 level will have tables reserved at the event.
Please join us for this lovely summer celebration! If you are interested in being an event sponsor, please contact Victoria Cather at 304-685-0196 or vlcather@aol.com by August 1st, 2016.
