Summer Nature Camp
Each summer since 2011, the West Virginia Botanic Garden has offered Summer Nature Camp, and the program continues to grow! All camps are one week long, and exact dates are announced each year in early spring. Registration opens in late winter. These popular programs fill up very quickly!
Do you have a child who loves to spend time outdoors exploring nature?
If so, then a Summer Nature Camp at the WVBG may be the place for him or her!
Campers will spend five days at day-camp where they will learn about, explore and immerse themselves in the natural world around them.

Registration begins February 14 for WVBG Members (at the Household level or above). You must have an active membership by 12 p.m. on February 13th to receive early access. Become a member today!

Nature Explorers Camp
Entering grades 2-5, minimum age 7- Week-long full-day camp Focuses on learning about and exploring nature
- Covers topics including trees, flowers, insects, birds, wildlife, and water
Curious Kids Camp
Entering grades pre K-1, minimum age 4- Week-long half-day camp Focuses on learning about and exploring nature
- Covers topics including trees, flowers, insects, birds, wildlife, and water
Discovery Camp
entering grades 5-8, minimum age 10- Campers will explore/discover the natural systems of WVBG and learn about ecological interconnectedness as well as the human connection to nature.
- Campers will participate in self-discovery and reflection activities
- Campers will participate in team-building and leadership activities
- Campers will receive visits from community leaders and local experts in nature or outdoor-related careers
- Campers will give back to nature and community through an on-site service project

Cancellation fee: In the case of cancellation, you will be refunded minus $25. You must cancel at least two weeks prior to the start of the camp to be eligible for a refund.
