Honor Gifts
Tributes, Memorials & Sponsorships
The West Virginia Botanic Garden is proud to offer tribute gifts, memorial gifts, and sponsorships to help you remember important people, celebrate achievements, and commemorate special moments. You may choose to honor a graduation or retirement, celebrate the birth of a family member or the passing of a friend, or simply display your personal or professional support for the Garden. If none of the sponsorship options or naming opportunities listed fit your needs, smaller gifts can be contributed to the general operating fund, and an acknowledgement will be sent to the recipient of your choice without reference to the size of the donation.

NAMING OPPORTUNITIES
With each new season at the West Virginia Botanic Garden, existing plants mature, new gardens are planted and new features are constructed. These garden features provide many desirable naming opportunities. In appreciation of a gift amount as designated below, we may recognize you, your business, or organization by naming these selected Garden entities as per your wishes.

Fairy Garden

As you leave the Reservoir Loop Trail to enter the idyllic forest of the Tibbs Run Preserve, you will find the Fairy Garden, a special place for children of all ages. Improvements to this place of magic may include fairy sculptural art and permanent fairy homes. As children engage in imagination, they also learn about sustainability and conservation by not disturbing living plants or important habitats.

Pond

After nearly 100 years as Morgantown’s drinking water resource, all that remains of this historic reservoir is the beautiful pond adjacent the Long Walk. The outlet tower remains as a sentinel of the need for clean water and will one day hold an accessible observation platform as an iconic feature for the Garden.

Secret Garden

One of the most sentimental spaces at the Garden is tucked away between the Butterfly Garden and the Education and Event Center. The Secret Garden has witnessed the matrimony of many couples, young and old. This garden comes to life each spring with mottled hellebores and ferns among the timeless stonework.

Children's Adventure Garden

The new Children’s Adventure Garden will quickly become one of the Garden’s busiest locations for families. We believe that nature provides the best playground and thanks to this skillfully designed mounds, nooks, tunnels, and natural play elements, children will set out on many exciting adventures in this area as well as learn about conservation and biology.
If you would like more information about any of these opportunities, please call Philip Smith, Executive Director, at 304-322-2093 or email him at psmith@wvbg.org.
