The Appalachian Mountains are a global hot spot for salamander biodiversity and West Virginia alone has 35 species of salamanders. Join wildlife biologist and WVU PhD student Sara Crayton to look for stream and forest salamanders and learn about identification, natural history, and conservation. Catching and interacting with colorful salamanders is a fantastic way for people of all ages to develop a love for nature! Come prepared to step into shallow stream water and muddy ground. Free for WVBG members, $15 for non-members.
